Tushar

Tushar is consistently listed as a leading pensions lawyer in the UK by legal directories
He is recognised as the leading individual for pensions law advice in the North for over five years’ running
Awarded ‘Lawyer of the Year 2024’ by Best Lawyers for pensions advice in the North
As a result of his extensive pensions experience and collaborative approach, Tushar is regularly instructed on difficult and contentious pensions matters by other law firms and professionals
First-class honours degree in Law
Served over 7 years with Northumbria Police as a Police Officer
Former Chair of the Northern Counties Group of the NAPF and is a full member of the Association of Pension Lawyers

Loren

Loren joined the Neon Legal team in January 2021 after graduating from Northumbria University in 2020 with a first-class master’s degree in Law
She works closely with Tushar and assists in the delivery of exceptional service to our clients
Her most recent project, with Tushar, was a buy-in and buy-out, move to a Mastertrust and wind-up a hybrid pension scheme with 3,000 members and over £750m assets
She provides legal advice in respect of public sector pensions to schools, MATs, and admitted LGPS employers. Together with Tushar, she provides legal advice on the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, the LGPS, NHS Pensions and the Civil Service Pension Scheme
She is known for her organisational abilities, particularly with large projects and ensuring a prompt response to clients
Loren advises clients on contentious pensions matters and submissions to the Pensions Ombudsman

Simone joined Neon Legal in 2012 and has over ten years of experience of pensions law
Simone works closely with the team to offer clients a comprehensive documentation service, including the creation of consolidated trust deeds and rules
After obtaining an honours degree in law from Northumbria University, Simone is currently undertaking the Solicitors Qualifying Exams and will qualify as a solicitor in 2025
She has acted for all types of pension schemes, both public and private sector, from individual arrangements to some of the largest in the UK

Simone

Angela manages Neon Legal’s finance, administration and IT functions
She is a certified Legal Designer and has excellent document creation and management skills and uses her considerable knowledge of MS applications to produce clear and pragmatic advice to clients
In addition to her outstanding administrative skills, Angela assists clients with legal enquiries and provides project management support on complex matters
She has over 16 years' experience in pensions law and has advised a mix of employer and trustee clients
